StaticSmart ESD Carpet tile is now manufactured with the exclusive eco-worx® backing. EcoWorx is the industry's first 100% sustainable, non-PVC tile backing system. EcoWorx has earned the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Presidential Green Chemistry Award for its environmental and performance benefits.
The backing consists of recycled content, made from a thermoplastic polyolefin compound with a fiberglass reinforcing layer, to provide superior lamination strength and excellent stability. All with the durability clients have come to expect from every StaticSmart flooring product.
EcoWorx has also been recognized with Cradle to Cradle Certification, contributing to U.S. Green Building Counci (USGBC) LEED® Green Building Rating System™. EcoWorx tile and Eco Solution Q premium branded nylon (also featured in StaticSmart ESD Carpet Tile products) are the only carpet products to receive Cradle to Cradle Silver Certification from MBDC (McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry), ain independent third party consultancy founded by the world renowned architect William McDonough and innovative chemist Dr. Michael Braungart.
